Yo, I have a feeling LL had a point! I swear obesity has gotten out of control; a large majority of people these days are really leaning towards being super sized! As my mother made a trip into the grocery store, I sat in the car and decided to people watch, and man, just about everyone I saw had a few extra rolls. They were jigglin' baby! I used to ignore the amount of chubby people, but whenever I turn on my TV these days, I see a show referring to weight loss. The most recent show that I noticed was called Too Fat for 15; the show is so sad. I mean a 11 year old girl whom weighs about 250 pounds just isn't normal, and is extremely unhealthy. So ladies and gents, if you are overweight, please take care of yourself and make a change! The health issues that come with being overweight is off the charts. I know it may be hard to give up the bad habits, but the end results of eating healthy and exercising will be worth it! Go on a diet!

Desperate For More

Bonsoir! I've got a late night treat for you! As I was flipping through the pages of Vogue's August issue, I fell upon some information about a new book all about one of the UK's homegrown divas, Kate Moss! The book pretty much shares some of her life in a good light rather then her drug habit and Johnny Depp (one of my fave old Hollywood couples).
The title is quite simple, Kate Moss by Mario Testino. Did I mention that Mr. Testino just happened to be one of Kate's very good friends and photographer, so do expect to see unreleased photos of Kate's life with the photographer, pretty much from his own personal stash. The book also includes just oldschool photos from magazines and things, like any other model's biography.
There is one downside to the debut. Only 1,500 copies will be produced, so please go hunting for your copy now if you are interested; I know I am! I'm happy to finally see that there is a biography sort of book about Kate Moss that doesn't completely speak of her heroin problem and just all the drama. I never have cared to hear the negatives! So with no further ado, buy a copy before it's too late, if it isn't already!
We All Want To Be Fierce

I can't conjure up the idea of ruining an outfit with a completely disgusting accessory to top it off, yet some seem to be able to. Matching, realistic, cute, sexy, genius, futuristic, vintage, bold or even basic sense of style isn't something that floats around their unfashionable brains, the epitome of What Not To Wear. Man, there's nothing like adding a tacky gold sequined hobo bag (un-chic), with a pleather strap I might add, to a very conservative Chanel skirt suit (chic in every possible way)! I just felt the need to let it all out today; since, I've been seeing so many victims walking the streets these days. Don't get me started on the youth today-"Pull your pants up!"
Now that I've vented I can finally get to the process of being a fashion DO rather then a DON'T, my point of view on feeling confident about whatever you choose to wear, and pretty much the key to being...FIERCE!
I like to be comfortable somedays and a complete glamazon on other days. The way you look rides on your mood most of the time, not unless you just don't care for fashion. (This blog probably isn't really for you.) So remember fashionistas, feel great on the inside rather then just looking good on the out! As for becoming a fashion idol, you must remember the basics and some tricks too! From hair to heels, there is always a trick to insure that you look flawless! I'll have a nice list of tricks for you a little later, because I want to get on to the basics.
Every classic fashionista owns a pair of black pumps, a trench coat, a conservative pencil skirt, and pearls (real or otherwise). Think Audrey Hepburn!

Now if you want to be less conservative, I've got a more modern and younger take on what is classified as chic! You will definitely need skinny jeans, make sure you either go dark wash for a slim look or a light acid wash to really stand out, really accentuates curves on boyish frames.

A black bikini or monokini will bring out the sexy SI model in you!

Michael Kors Summer 2010 Monokini
Also, must I remind you that every so-called fashionista could use some clear bra straps and a push-up bra for that matter! Take a little trip to Victoria's Secret, so you can get fitted for a bra; it makes a world of a difference. Something very popular in fashion these days seems to be simple tees. The reason being is that it really can make a chic outfit when you pair it with some skinny jeans and some killer pumps; for the fall, throw a fitted leather bomber jacket over it. The color of choice for these pocket protected tees seem to be just basic white! It makes getting dressed a cinch!
Do not deprive yourself of having fun! Buy some cute, bright leggings that describes your personality. Patterned leggings can turn a boring outfit into something that really grabs someone's eye!

Some funky heels really can take an ensemble to the next level, so buy something that is rambunctious!

As you can see, I can pretty much go on and on about fashion and how to be stylish from head to toe, but I'd be typing forever and you would definitely probably get tired of reading! I'm going to move on to the art of being truly fierce! If you haven't realized it yet, every fierce flame carries themselves with confidence! You must have faith in your outfit, no second guessing! Every diva is confident in themselves, and they don't let people bring them down!

Also, fierceness comes with not only staying up to date with today's fashion but also by creating styles of their own in the process. The rules of being fierce are so simple. There are no rules! Don't lose yourself!
Chao!

Part I: Chanel Fall Fashion Faves 2010

Chanel
Featured below are a few of my favorites from the CHANEL FALL RTW 2010 COLLECTION.
The theme for the show was purely ICE. Karl Lagerfeld and a team put the "Ice Hotel" and fur attire together with, I'm assuming, the idea of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

I haven't posted for like a month, my bad. I've been too busy with life matters, so I had to put that first. Anyways, I'm back! Plus, I've FINALLY got my own personal laptop; it's pink and perfect! So, no more getting kicked off the computer while typing up a post-YAY! Oh, and yes, I do realize I said I was going to post more often, and I didn't, my bad again, sorry. I would update with a fashion post, but I'm not really up to date with the latest fashions. Which means I haven't had a chance to get a Vogue magazine, unfortunately. There is some more good news other then getting a new laptop...SCHOOL IS OFFICIALLY OUT! I'll definitely be posting more! I can't wait to get started, but before I can, I must do some research! I'll keep you all posted! I don't even think I have a fan base, seeing the fact that I've been away from posting for so long...Oops!

Fashion Forward Trend Watch: Tribal GLAM
@
12:47 PM
The spring and summer has some dominating trends that can easily be thrown into a basic wardrobe. A few statement pieces can freshen up your closet with breaking your bank! My favorite intense trend this season is tribal! It's fun, bright, ethnic, and simple; one tribal romper, from vintage to Marc Jacobs, can put you in the fashion mix. Style is all about what you choose and what makes you happy! Here's some of my favorites!

The City
@
12:47 PM
Okay, recently I've become a serious fan of The City on MTV. I had no idea it was so good, 10X better than other rich kid reality shows and soap operas (i.e The Hills, The OC, Laguna Beach)! The concept of young hipsters in NYC would have never caught my attention, but it has one thing that other shows don't, fashion! I had to catch up by watching all of the first season videos online, and I love it, love it, love it! My favorite star in the show is Olivia Palermo, the bitch, the diva, the rich snob, love her! Her clothes are wonderful and her hair is PERFECT. I really like the model on the show too, Allie Crandell. She is also pretty cool, yet her boyfriend is a lying jerk. Anyways, I suggest all of you fashionistas check it out! I would tell you guys more, but I just can't give it all away. Go to MTV.com to see the beginning and the most recent episodes!
P.S: Sorry for the delayed posts! I've been busy with other things, and I'm sharing a computer. I'll try to update as much as possible. NEXT UP: FASHION FORWARD TREND WATCH
